PRINT’S NOT DEAD

it’s on your pants!

by faran krentcil

Thanks to the Spring 2012 runways, colored jeans are all over the place - along with metallic jeans, embroidered jeans, plastic jeans, leather jeans, and floral jeans. Required Reading: How to Wear the Lemonade Jean But this week, as online retailers like PacSun and Shopbop got new shipments, we saw yet another trend: The Crazy Print Jean. Topshop has pants covered in space ships. Henry Holland transposed the neon stripes from a gaucho poncho and put them on his pants. And instead of a traditional "animal print," ASOS took tiny panthers and drew them all over their jeans. Our favorite ones are below - but if you don't like the prints (or the price points) just buy a pair of white or solid-colored jeans at Forever 21 (They're $16 each) and draw your own design with fabric markers!

ASOS Panther Jeans, $40

House of Holland Jeans, $350.

7 For All Mankind Ikat jeans, $189

Hudson Nico Jeans, $176.

PacSun print leggings, $20

Versus by Versace heart jean, $475
