Priyanka Chopra I Can’t Make You Love Me

The Bollywood star is in the middle of her American music takeover (she's recently released "In My City" featuring Will.I.Am and "Exotic," featuring Pitbull") and she's not slowing down anytime soon--especially thanks to her thumping, irresistible new single "I Can't Make You Love Me."

What's the story behind "I Can't Make You Love Me" ?

I go way back with this song! It's one of my all time favorites, and one that has gotten me through so many tough times in my life. I think every girl (and guy) can relate to a messy breakup or the confusion that you often feel in intense relationships. I hope that my version is somewhat uplifting and empowering to anyone who can relate to the lyrics.

Where did the inspiration come from?

Ester Dean actually gave me this track, it's a contemporary EDM remake of Bonnie Raitt's classic ballad and is one of my favorite tracks on the album. It's my ode to a classic, a song that I love, and one that says so much.

Did you have a say in the music video? If so, how did the concept come about? 

YES! I was very involved with the concept of the music video. I had a clear vision for this, and wanted to create a mini movie of moments and memories. I'm so happy with how it turned out. This video is really for the actor in me. 

For everyone who's unfamiliar with your sound how would you describe it?

Very eclectic, much like myself. I'm quite emotional and moody, and my album really reflects that - it has ballads, pop, EDM, and everything else in between. Plus, I've recorded with so many incredible artists, like Will.I.Am, Pitbull, Zedd, Timbaland, and Ester Dean.
