When Rebel Wilson announced that she would be creating a clothing collection this fall, we were beyond excited. The Australian actress and comedienne has always been open about her larger figure and the frustration that comes along with it—the fact that she's taken the matter of plus-size clothing into her own hands makes her a woman of action. In collaboration with plus-size label Torrid, REBEL is officially set to launch in stores and online on November 1. Last night, Wilson attended the launch party for the capsule collection.
“I’m currently like a size 18, sometimes a 16 depending on how good I’ve been, so I’m kind of just a bit too big for most regular clothing,” Wilson told People in an interview. “But what I found with a lot of plus-size clothing was that it didn’t seem cool or on-trend. It was kind of like what your auntie would wear to a wedding. So, it was a mission to find clothes that fit and were well-made…it definitely is an under-served market.”
