It’s the most wonderful time of the year—and no, we’re not talking about the holidays. Swim season is officially in full swing, and you know where to find us: lounging poolside or vegging out on the beach, all the way until Labor Day Weekend brings the fun to an end.
With that said, right now, we’re not really focused on shopping for anything other than the perfect swimsuit. And this season’s most on-trend styles? Total throwbacks.
Summer 2018 swimwear is a big nod to the past, with retro fabrics, silhouettes, and styles making appearances across the boards. Ginghams, smocking, and ruffles are just a few of the biggest trends of the season, while corseted one-pieces are reimagined in modern florals and high-waisted bottoms still remain a seasonal staple.
The best part of all? All of these cuts tend to be flattering for all body types (we’re pretty over the string bikini, TBH). We rounded up 15 of our favorite retro-modern bikinis and one-pieces to snag before summer’s over, below.
