RichPoSlim Recruits Abra For A Timeless Hit About Claiming Your Bae
“Make You Mine” is an Awful Records classic
Awful Records continues to keep the music industry on its toes with a roster of artists that never disappoint. The latest offering comes from RichPoSlim, a rapper based in the label's native Atlanta. Produced by Keith Charles Spacebar, "Make You Mine" serves as RichPoSlim's interpretation of one of his favorite Mac Dre songs. Abra is also featured on the track, so you know it's fire. (As RichPoSlim puts it, "She always wants to make the best music, and if you make music with her it's gonna be some of your best as well or she's not with it.")
Today, we're premiering the official JMP-directed music video. In it, we are exposed to RichPoSlim and Abra chilling in their natural habitat. Their special bonding time includes hair braiding, riding bicycles through the suburbs, and smoking joints in the woods.
"I told [JMP] that I wanted to capture the feeling of one of the days when me and Abra [are] just kicking it, talking about love life and the pursuit of happiness," said RichPoSlim. "It very much captures our bro-sister vibe—she's one of my close friends and favorite artists."
