Hot on the heels of Kristen Stewart for Chanel news, yet another celeb has landed a huge fashion campaign. This time it's Rihanna, who's booked the ads for Balmain's spring 2014 collection. Shot by iconic photography duo Inez and Vinoodh, expect to find the gorgeous images in magazines starting January. According to the label's creative director Olivier Rousteing, "Dreams do come true...When the woman that inspires you wears your creations, your vision feels complete. Not compromising, fresh, modern, the icon of my generation, Rihanna embodies my vision of Balmain in this new campaign. In front of the camera, she makes you feel like she is the only girl in the world." Seems like someone's been rocking out to this....  (VOGUE)

Sofia Coppola has a new movie in the works--and even better, she's collaborating with her brother! Sofia and Roman Coppola are set to produce (as well as co-write, in her case) Fairyland: A Memoir of My Father, based on the book by Alysia Abbott. The coming-of-age story follows a girl growing up in San Francisco in the midst of the AIDS epidemic, and as Sofia puts it, "I love the book Fairyland; it's a sweet and unique love story of a girl and her dad, both growing up together in 1970's San Francisco. I think it will make an engaging and touching movie on a subject I've never seen before." Two questions: who should star as Abbott? And also, how soon is too soon to start the countdown? (Deadline)
