Ruby Rose Debuted Urban Decay’s New Lipsticks On The Red Carpet

As would be expected, Ruby Rose totally owned the red carpet at last night’s People’s Choice Awards.

The multitalented beauty brand ambassador was spotted rocking an ultra-vampy lip, which, of course, was none other than Urban Decay’s latest soon-to-be-cult launch: the Vice Liquid Lipstick. Rose wore Blackmail, a deep shade of wine, pairing it with a chocolate smoky eye, courtesy of UD's 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Whiskey and Mushroom, and boldly defined brows.

Of course, Rose’s smoldering beauty look was the perfect complement to her ensemble, a fiery orange pantsuit by Veronica Beard. The two-piece was extra fitted and peeked just the tiniest bit of ink, landing her at high on the best-dressed list of the evening.

“Ruby’s outfit was changed last minute into a killer bold orange form fitting suit,” says Rose’s makeup artist Jo Baker:

I immediately started to swatch dark moody lip tones to make a dramatic statement. I wanted a bold contrast color to balance the sweet, upbeat vibe of her outfit. I always want the makeup to illuminate Ruby's badass personality and her ability to bring a range of dramatic editorial looks to the red carpet! Keeping people guessing—which Ruby will we get today? Keeping her makeup look strong yet feminine, with a hint of edgy.
