Without a doubt, ruffles ruled the resort 2017 runways. (We know, try saying that five times fast.) Frills of all sorts made their way down the catwalks at the likes of Gucci, Louis Vuitton, and many more, putting us in a frenzy for all things flouncy.

While normally thought of as feminine and fancy—such as the whimsical tiers at Givenchy—ruffles can also be pretty versatile. We saw them take a modern and structured twist at Cedric Charlier, as well as go down the playful and quirky route, like with Gucci’s neon peacoats. The possibilities are really endless.
