Since its inception in 2002, the Tribeca Film Festival has been the go-to place to screen the coolest indie movies of tomorrow...that is, just as long as you lived in New York and were able to score tickets to the popular screenings.

But now you don't have to be a movie industry pro based in Lower Manhattan to still get in on the action. The festival has just announced that they'll be screening 6 feature films and 18 shorts online in the Tribeca (Online) Screening Room. It's a special section of the website where everyone can watch the flicks for free, just as long as you "reserve" your virtual seat- because like the real theater, there's a limited capacity,

So who says you have to watch Mean Girls for the hundredth time next time you're bored? With so many under-the-radar flicks at your fingertips, Tribeca (Online) means your movie nights officially just got that much cooler.

Reserve your seat starting April 18....until then, learn more and watch the trailers here!
