A tight thriller with dirty lighting and phenomenal performances, the movie featured Portman as Mathilda, an 11-year-old whose parents and siblings were gunned down by a corrupt cop - and who needed the assassins killed before they found her hiding place. (Conveniently, in the apartment building of an unfulfilled hit man.) It's a cult favorite of many NYLON staffers, and it's $5 today on iTunes.
