Lyric videos are strange. They usually precede a proper music video and while they can be cute at times, they're mostly there to maintain fans' attention and tide them over until something better comes along. Sia, though, well she's never been one to produce work just for the sake of it. And so, it's safe to say that her lyric video for her latest heart-wrenching track, "Alive," which was co-written with Adele and Tobias Jesso Jr., has a little more substance to it.
"Alive" follows someone in a Sia wig and a gang of his/her hooded followers as they tag the city with song lyrics. With dark tones, an anarchist element, and a heap of what seems like Banksy-inspired visuals, the video delivers a whole other layer to the song.
