to paris with love

sky ferreira lands a maison kitsune campaign!

by grace van vranken

From fronting campaigns for Parisian labels like Saint Laurent and

Eleven Paris

to releasing her debut album

Night Time, My Time,

Sky Ferreira's message is coming through loud and clear: she does it all. While music is her first love, this is a girl who's also a also model multitasker.

She's in high demand stateside-- she made her runway debut last season during New York Fashion Week at Marc Jacobs-- but still, the California native has also firmly remained the obsession of the French. So when news broke that the 21-year-old was named the face of French label Maison Kitsune’s “New Wave”-themed SS14 Collection, it's not

that

surprising. Especially given the fact that the clothes were inspired by New York’s up-and-coming musicians and artists, we can't really think of a better rep.

The campaign, which was shot by French photographer Henrik Purienne, shows Ferreira in a much more playful light than some of her past work (think mustard mini-dresses paired with bandanas). Each look is girl crush-central, from closeups of her awesome teardrop tats to shots of the star curled up in a blue sweatshirt, playing peek-a-boo with a newspaper (co-starring the Mona Lisa, obviously).
