STREET STYLE: SXSW

It goes without saying that the music at this year's SXSW was killer--if you don't believe us, just check out our NYLON TV videos shot in Austin, Texas for proof. But we were equally impressed by the outfits worn to the shows. There were the requisite cowboy boots and dusty hats, of course, But there were other ingenious ways of staying cool in the SXSW heat: blouses knotted into crop tops, oversize sunnies to shade eyes, and cut-offs in just about every denim wash, all on display at the House of Vans at the Mohawk. But the new location didn't mean that everyone dropped their own personal style cues; Alexa Chung paired her rock'n'roll look with a leopard print coat that is way more New York than Austin, while Charli XCX went from show to show wearing her signature pair of Buffalo platforms.
