In this month's issue we catch up with our Surfer Blood bros, both our good friends and one of our favorite bands. In the story we rolled around with the guys as they played a show at Bushwick's own Slumbo Labs (video footage to come) to a crowd of 60 lucky fans and then performed a sold out show to 3,000 people at Terminal5 the next night. Their new record Pythons, produced by Gil Norton (Jimmy Eat World, Food Fighters) just came out and we couldn't be more stoked on it! It was recorded using all of the the Pixies gear at East West studios, where lead singer J.Pitts said, "Whether it's subconscious or not, knowing Pet Sounds was recorded next door definitely puts you in a different zone than recording in your house."
