Taylor Swift’s Acoustic Version Of “Wildest Dreams” Will Blow You Away
girl + guitar = great things
Back in September, in between sold-out 1989 tour stops, Taylor Swift gave a special performance at the Clive Davis Theater. Her GRAMMY Museum exhibit, which featured personal items, multimedia installations, and a timeline documenting her recording success, had a record-breaking attendance number and she was there to honor that. Her acoustic performance of “Wildest Dreams” is the latest to be lifted from the set.
Though the sweeping strings and overall grandiosity of the original 1989 song make “Wildest Dreams” one of the album’s most cinematic, the acoustic version is just as chilling. (She played a similar card last December.) It’s also a nice reminder of the talent that is Taylor Swift. Too often the over-the-top stage productions, high-budget videos, and tabloid affairs detract from the very thing that made Taylor Swift Taylor Swift. So while her new “Out Of The Woods” video will likely go on to break records—because that’s also a thing that comes with being Taylor Swift—keep this video (and this one!) in mind, as a reminder of why she's breaking 'em.
