discuss: the giver trailer

It's a late Wednesday afternoon, and the entire NYLON office spent the day binge eating doughnuts (we'll explain why later), but, yeah, we're feeling a little burned out. Good thing a new trailer for The Giver just landed to give us a much needed shock of energy, excitement, and--duh!--Meryl Streep. 

This longer trailer has less Taylor Swift in it (we know, bummer), but explains more of the film's plot and the distopian world it's set in. Plus, more Jeff Bridges imparting some Dude-like wisdoms. Much like the rug, it seems like the mandatory injections and brainwashing of the world of The Giver, really tied the room together.
