After not getting a Pixar movie since 2013's Monsters University, for the first time ever we're getting two in the same year. Inside Out has already proven to be one of the studio's most commercially and critically successful films to date, and Pixar is hoping to double up on that success with this November's long-delayed The Good Dinosaur.

The movie's first full trailer just hit the web, and it shows an alternate timeline where the asteroid that extinguished the dinosaurs actually misses Earth, leading to a world where humans and dinosaurs co-exist. It follows Arlo, a young dinosaur who's on a mission to find his lost family. As he embarks on this journey, he unexpectedly comes across a human boy. Their initial interaction is shocking to them both, due to the unfamiliarity of dinosaurs and humans, but over time the two develop a loyal friendship.

The trailer is full of gorgeous vistas, moments of wonder, and all kinds of bigtime emotion. Does this mean Pixar left their trademark wit on the cutting room floor, or do pop culture references not lend themselves to the Paleozoic Era? Find out when The Good Dinosaur stomps into theaters on November 25.
