THE REMIX: GREY FRIDAY

MAC is pretty great at giving us a lipstick for literally every occasion. The newest addition is in honor of one of America's most intense holiday traditions: Black Friday. But the lip color, Grey Friday, isn't your average witch-y black--it's black-grey with silver, frosty shimmer. We won't be rushing out to play a real life game of supermarket sweep (we prefer the other 364 shopping days to the busiest one of the year), but we'll be celebrating in our own way because three out of three editors that tried it all think it's awesome.

The result is a ox blood shade that works for day or night."

The Process: "I've never been one to shy away from a bold lip (MAC's nearly-black Cyber is one of my favorites), so I decided to embrace the grey lip and go all-out. After applying not one but two layers of the lipstick, I then took a page from the fall '09 Doo.Ri show--yup, the one with the grey lip that everyone freaked out over--and lined my eyes with a dark liner. In my case, I went with purple just to make it not so textbook goth."

The Process: "I kept the look stark and simple, because who would buy art from someone wearing too much makeup? I filled in my brows, added highlighter underneath my eyes, and put on two coats of my favorite daytime mascara: CoverGirl Lashblast.
