TIME OUT

these colorful watches are plastic fantastic.

by liza darwin

It's a sad fashion fact of the 21st century: as cell phones are glued to the hands of pretty much everyone, watches as time-tellers (not to mention cool style pieces) are becoming scarce.

But these awesome offerings from Toronto-based line May28th have convince us to stash our phones in our purses and wear their crazy-cool watches instead.

Each of the brand's styles are handmade and one-of-a kind, created from printed patterns and random discoveries that inspired designer Agni Tilla. This means abstract prints, rainbow hues, and ridiculously cute animal motifs that work double-time as fashion statements as well as, you know, actual watches.

And at only $39 each, who says you can't have your cake and eat it too?
