the wild west staple gets a stylish spring look.

Chambray shirts have been around forever (Levi’s was established in the 1850s, after all..) but this season the collared classic is getting a serious makeover. Proving that last year’s denim-on-denim trend is still going strong, the old-school cowboy uniform scores some girly details like slimmer silhouettes, tie fronts, and patterns that work just as well with skirts and shorts as they do with basic blues. Everyone from Stella McCartney (who included quirky Hawaiian print blouses in her SS12 collection) to Madewell to Vince offers their own take on the top. And while the designer versions might cost you, we have a feeling some hidden gems are buried in your local thrift store. As they say, what was old is new again.... so get a blast from the past below.
