TRIBAL INSTINCT

pendleton is just the beginning.

by liza darwin

Last Spring, when Native American-inspired patterns started popping up on the runways everywhere from Derek Lam to William Rast, there was no question these bold prints were about to be big. Now Navajo fashion has officially moved from the runways to the streets.

You can rock beaded booties, an arrow necklace, or even an entire clothing line (Pendleton for Opening Ceremony, anyone?). But to avoid looking like you're prepping your Pocahontas Halloween costume a bit early, we'd recommend sticking with just a few key pieces.

So whether it's shoes, clothing, or accessories, we've rounded up our favorite Navajo items to literally deck you out from head to toe. Uh, not that we're recommending it...

Urban Outfitters tunic, $48. </

House of Harlow booties, $165.

Fred Flare sunglasses, $11.

Pendleton for Opening Ceremony zip bag, $100.

Free People knee socks, $24.

Forever 21 skirt, $22.80.

Anna Sheffield charm bracelet, $72.

Loeffler Randall sandal, $197.50.
