The Urban Decay Summer Collection Will Change Your Life
Prepare to look flawless
The new summer collection from Urban Decay is here and is a beauty game changer in making you look bright-eyed and radiant, no matter what you got yourself into the night before. The release is chock-full of perfecting products to help brighten, perfect, and illuminate your skin (in a weightless manner, of course).
The new launches consist of new products and additional shades added to their existing Naked Skin line: a Hybrid Complexion Perfector available in six shades, five shades of Color Correcting Fluid, six new shades for their existing Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup, and three new shades for their existing Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer. Other releases include the Beached Bronzer in two shades, the Afterglow 8-Hour Powder Highlighter in two shades, and two new eye pencil colors that focus on brightening.
I had the opportunity to play with the new products, which launched mid-last month, on a rainy Monday evening after work, so you can imagine that my face was in an especially tired (aka dead) condition to test out these new products.
The standout products were definitely the Color Correcting Fluids, which are sold exclusively at Sephora. All five shades are meant to target and neutralize specific skin flaws: green to cover redness and blemishes, pink to cover under-eye circles and spots, lavender to balance out sallowness and yellow undertones, yellow to correct darkness and dullness, and peach to mask circles, veins and sunspots (best for darker skin tones). Not only did the pink completely mask my sleep-deprived skin's dark circles, but after blending a bit of the yellow, also under my eyes and around my lids and inner corners, I instantly looked more awake (erm, alive).
The One & Done Hybrid Complexion Corrector made my skin look positively flawless. It smoothed and blurred all imperfections, instantly making me look refreshed. The formula features nourishing ingredients—like peptides and vitamins—so it works at firming and improving radiance, even after you take it off. I’m also a huge fan of the new nude shade of the Waterline Eye Pencil in ‘Walk of Shame’—it’s probably the easiest quick fix to instantly look more alert and perked up, and for your eyes to look bigger.
