Video Premiere: Ben Browning “Make It Easy”

cut copy’s bassist branches out

by Ben Barna

As the bassist for Australian synth-pop outfit Cut Copy, Ben Browning has been a part of the some of the most effervescent dance music of the last ten years. So it makes sense that on "Make It Easy," the new single off Browning's upcoming solo album Turns, he employs an arsenal of similar techniques. That means sunny synths, a cheery melody, and a chorus that's hard to shake off.

The track's video, which Browning directed himself in Melbourne, shows him biking through the nocturnal streets of his hometown, a video trope that's been used many times before but that somehow never gets old.

Turns is out June 16 via Yellow Year Records.
