From Marc Jacobs and Murakami to Hannah Marshall and Rankin, the designer-and-artist collaboration is nothing new. But usually the artists are already famous, and that's the fun part about Rag & Bone's new contest - they want you. Hopefully.
Today the New York fashion label announces a contest for emerging artists. Submit a mural design for their Houston St. store in New York City, and you could win the chance to paint your vision on the very big, very visible Soho wall. You can use paint, marker, wheatpaste, whatever - just make it good, since the space is directly across from the Deitch Projects wall that's had Keith Haring and Shepard Fairey displaying their stuff.
Oh, and besides a public space for your art, you also get $1000 in Rag & Bone clothing if you win - but we'd recommend you paint the wall in something less expensive.
