Zayn Malik Drops ‘Mind Of Mine’ Album With A New Music Video For “BeFoUr”
BeFoUr the weekend
Happy Zayn Record Release Day! Last night, the singer-songwriter teased the approaching release of his long-awaited album, Mind of Mine, with a debut performance of "Like I Would" on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. At the stroke of midnight, he officially dropped the album via RCA Records. As if that wasn't enough to occupy our weekend, he also shared a music video for his latest single "BeFoUr." (Don't worry, it's a major improvement from "Pillowtalk.")
Produced by Black Dog Films and the Directors Bureau, the video was shot in Manchester, England. This time, the focus isn't all on Malik—there are other 20-somethings in the frame with their own stories to tell in the narrative. Of course, it's "show rather than tell" and following them around as they complete mundane tasks like waiting tables feels like watching one of those special "A Day In The Life" segments, but it's all quaint. Malik quietly observes everything happening around him, much like, one can imagine, he does in real life.
Watch the video, below, and be sure to check back here later for a full album review. If you weren't invited to his private Zayn album release party tonight, maybe you can weasel your way into his live performance and Q&A session with Elvis Duran at the iHeartRadio Theater in New York City. Otherwise, listening to the album on repeat might help with the FOMO.
