Barbie Just Became A Hypebeast Thanks To A New Collab

Barbie is trading in her hot pink outfits for oversized sweatshirts and puffer jackets. Her newest collaboration with A Bathing Ape (BAPE) sees our favorite childhood doll turning into a hypebeast. I never thought this day would come.

On Friday morning, both BAPE's and Barbie's Instagram channels shared sneak peeks at the new collaboration, which looks less suited for young girls and more tailored to the people I see waiting in line to get into the Supreme store. I guess she's ditching her myriad professional roles as a doctor, astronaut, CEO, and engineer. I wonder if a tiny iPhone with photo editing apps on it is also included in the box.

Not only will Barbie get to dabble in streetwear through this collaboration, but hypebeasts will also be able to express their inner Barbie. A BAPE post details that the collection includes Barbie-inspired clothes for people.

The collaboration doesn't have a release date yet, though, apparently, it's "coming soon." Is a Supreme collab next on the agenda for this new streetwear icon?
