Estée Lauder's Glimmer Is The Fragrance Everyone's About To Be Wearing This Fall
Consider this your first look at fall's new signature scent.
The changing seasons comes with shifting energies, and if you’re looking towards a more optimistic mood, Estée Lauder may have just bottled that with their latest scent, Glimmer. Subverting the usual sophisticated perfume playbook with gourmand touches with notes of macaron rose accord, an exclusive Amber Embrace accord, and shimmering patchouli, the scent is reminiscent of cooler air and new beginnings. To mark the launch, Estée Lauder tapped Hailee Steinfeld as the face of the fragrance, debuting with her cover of Nina Simone's "Feeling Good.” The campaign is about celebrating the little joys of life, of connection, and holding on to that “glimmer” that lights up everyone around you. It’s exactly how we want to welcome the season of togetherness. Ahead, what makes the scent worth picking up.
The Scent Notes
Glimmer opens with macaron rose accord — a reimagined take on the classic floral that folds into a warm, macaron-flavored gourmand, boosted by toasted almond and fruity lychee.
The warmth comes from Estée Lauder's proprietary Amber Embrace accord, a softer, muskier spin on traditional amber built for right now. Up top, shimmering patchouli gives the usual earthy herb a brighter edge, rounding into a woodsy, radiant finish. The result: warm, fresh, a little glowy — the scent equivalent of good news, if you will. Change can be intimidating, sure. But wrap it in cozy amber and fruity rose and suddenly fall feels a lot more exciting.
That push-pull is the whole point. Glimmer is an optimistic scent for stepping into something new — whether that means a new job, back to school, a favorite sweater, or simply your next era. Fall may be the perfect backdrop, but Glimmer is made to carry you through every season.
Not Your Typical Floral
Glimmer’s tiered scent experience brings together brightness and warmth in a way that feels both distinctive and incredibly wearable. Its real flex is its duality: indulgent without ever becoming overpowering, with the kind of effortless versatility you want from an everyday scent. Its distinct profile makes it easy to wear year-round, whether you’re reaching for something fresh during the day or craving a little more warmth as the seasons change.
The Bottle
Glimmer isn't just a scent-arsenal essential. It’s a work of art on your vanity. The bottle's sculpted semi-circles create a light-reflecting ripple effect that shines in every sense of the word. The gold-tone cap adds a luminous finish that’s a nod to its uplifting notes.
There's an assumed innocence to anything this joy-forward, but Glimmer still reads as a luxe fragrance thanks to a bright interpretation of patchouli and experimental amber. Soft, sophisticated, and versatile enough to stand out in a scent rotation, but reliable enough to be your everyday signature. We may already be hailing it the it-scent of the season.
