Brie Larson Dressed As An Actual Superhero At 'Captain Marvel' Premiere
In custom Valentino Haute Couture, no less
Brie Larson may be playing a superhero in the forthcoming Captain Marvel—the first of the Marvel series to feature a solo female as its protagonist—but last night, at the film's London premiere, she showed us how to embody one IRL.
Larson walked onto the carpet in what is probably the most breathtaking Valentino Haute Couture gown we've ever seen. The vibrant blue floor-length masterpiece was a custom design by Valentino creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli. As if the off-the-shoulder silhouette and side cutouts weren't enough to wow us, the gown featured a separate, gold-lined cape, emitting true superheroine energy.
Letting the dress shine in the spotlight (as it should), she pulled back her blonde locks in a loose, knotted chignon and kept her makeup on the simpler side. Overall, the look was a winner.
However, Larson wasn't the only one to shine in bold color on last night's carpet. Her co-stars Gemma Chan and Lashana Lynch also came to slay in color and cutouts, in a red Brandon Maxwell two-piece and fuchsia Michael Costello gown, respectively.
Overall, it was a refreshing display of bold and bright color on the red carpet.
