Awards Season

Tina Fey And Amy Poehler Will Host A Bicoastal Golden Globes

The pair return as cohosts for the fourth time.

We may be in a pandemic, but Awards Season is moving ahead at full virtual steam. On Wednesday morning, Sarah Jessica Parker and Taraji P. Henson hosted the announcement of the 78th annual Golden Globes nominations, with plenty of snubs and surprises for the internet to dig into: Emily In Paris was nominated? Nothing for I May Destroy You?!

Whether your favorite shows and films got shut out or celebrated, it'll be a fun ceremony to tune into, with Amy Poehler and Tina Fey returning as cohosts for the fourth time since their 2013-2015 consecutive run. The old pals will host from opposite coasts — with Fey in New York and Poehler in Los Angeles, Variety reports. Naturally, it's a first for the typically live show; Poehler will broadcast from the Beverly Hills Hotel, where the Globes are normally held, and Fey will fittingly host from the Rainbow Room at Rockefeller Center in Manhattan.

Satchel and Jackson Lee — children of filmmaker and three-time Golden Globe winner, Da 5 Bloods director Spike Lee, and producer/philanthropist Tonya Lewis Lee — will serve as Golden Globe Ambassadors, or the children of celebrities who are responsible for passing off the trophies. This year, the ceremony will take place on February 28, 2021, at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
