5 'Euphoria'-Inspired Looks To Wear For The Holidays

They could have been ripped straight from the winter formal episode

In addition to providing one of the most realistic depictions of teenage alcohol and drug use, sexual activity, and mental health currently on television, the HBO series Euphoria also gave us plenty of fashion and beauty inspiration to borrow from. From Kat Hernandez's (Barbie Ferreira) style transformation over the course of the first season to the many bold looks worn by Maddy Perez (Alexa Demie) and Jules Vaughn (Hunter Schafer), there was no shortage of memorable fashion on Euphoria. This was particularly true when it came to the Season 1 finale, "And Salt the Earth Behind You," which took place during the East Highland winter formal and saw the characters pulling out all stops in the fashion department.

With that in mind, ahead of the holidays (as well as in celebration of the just-announced Euphoria Season 2 release date), we came up with five holiday looks inspired by Euphoria's winter formal fashion. Whether you were a fan of Cassie Howard's (Sydney Sweeney) sweet, pastel pink bodycon dress paired with a shawl or Rue Bennett's (Zendaya) oversized blazer or Maddy's incredible chainmail two-piece set, read on to see (and shop) the no-fail holiday party and New Year's Eve outfit inspiration to take you through the end of the year and into 2020.

Maddy

Maddy's chainmail look, which included a sheer halter top and skirt paired with a chainmail veil, is not only our favorite of the episode, but it might be our favorite outfit of the entire season. If you're not feeling as daring, opt for more coverage with a less sheer material and longer hemlines.

Camila Coelho, Fernanda Crop Top, $120, and Beatriz Midi Skirt, $160, both available at Revolve; BaubleBar, Galactic Drop Earrings, $44, available at BaubleBar; and Darkest Arts Boutique, Silver Sparkle Bandeau Style Birdcage Veil, $48.50, available at Etsy.

Jules

Those who prefer to ring in the new year in pants should opt for a coordinating set a la Jules, which looks dressy without, well, being an actual dress. Throw on a sheer organza coat in a coordinating — or complementary — color over the crop top for added warmth and add pops of glitter in the form of accessories.

ASOS, Weekday oversized organza shirt in blue, $56, available at ASOS; Dolls Kill,Sky Lettin' Loose Crop Top, $31 (was $35), and Smooth Talk Satin Flares, $28.80 (was $48), both available at Dolls Kill; and Zara, Sparkly mini crossbody bag, $29.90, available at Zara.

Kat

Kat's all-over red look is made to be worn during the holiday season. If a harness-like bustier is a little too edgy for you, layer a version of it over a white tee and pair with a bag with chunky hardware (note: this Zana Bayne purse is the exact one Kat had in the episode). Equip yourself with a red fan to still make a statement.

She'sModa, Cross Cut Bustier Crop Top Bra Vest, $24.99, available at Amazon; H&M, Satin Skirt, $15.99 (was $24.99); Zana Bayne, Mini Choker Bag, $350, available at Zana Bayne, and Le Boncine, hand painted fan, $57.64, available at Etsy.

Rue

If you're planning on wearing sneakers, start by subbing out your everyday pair for a limited-edition release, like the Converse x JW Anderson collection, and dress them up even more by throwing on a blazer. For those partial to a black color palette, try a richer hue, like a warm brown, with a bustier-like top and pants in a textured pattern like jacquard or paisley. Bonus points if, like Rue, you can pull off the skirt-over-pants look that made a comeback this year.

H.ours, Dare Bustier, $118, available at Revolve; Express, Super High Waisted Jacquard Stretch Flare Pant, $47.94 (was $79.90), available at Express; Babaton, Trent Jacket, $99.99 (was $278), available at Aritzia; and Converse x JW Anderson, Chuck 70 Grid, $120, available at Converse.

Cassie

Form-fitting and simple, Cassie's pastel dress looks festive without being entirely made up of sequins. After selecting the main color palette —in this case, pink — accessorize with silver and gold to make the look feel holiday-ready.

Forever21, Metallic Knit Bodycon Dress, $10.79 (was $17.99), available at Forever21; Aurate, Gold Ball Pendant, $200, available at Aurate; Rebecca Minkoff, Leo Glitter Clutch in Silver, $128, available at Nordstrom; and J.Crew, Summerweight pom-pom scarf, $25.99 (was 39.50), available at J.Crew.
