Enter Your Maximalist Era With This Colorful New Drop

The ‘It’ colors you’ll be seeing everywhere.

by Andrea Gale

Maximalism is definitely having a moment, with bright, textural pieces allowing for dialed-up self-expression — and Coach’s Courage To Be Real campaign is delivering the fashion equivalent of a confidence boost. It features fearless performers like Youngji Lee, Lil Nas X, Camila Mendes, Wu Jinyan and Kōki, and its “Courage To Break The Mold” chapter imagines bold color as a way to break free from what’s expected. With “it” colors ranging from an amped-up canary yellow to a hazy lilac to a bubble gum pink, these statement pieces are giving main character energy with the same luxe attention the heritage brand is known for.

Based on an archival ‘70s Coach design, the Tabby 26 shoulder bag is crafted from a puffed, geometric quilted leather that’s at once edgy and sweet. The fearless colors on offer imbue the bag with an instant attitude. The soft purple shown here confidently defies the usual pastel palette and feels genuinely unique, it can work for daytime outfits or going out — especially since the silver chain strap can be worn as a crossbody or doubled-up for a shoulder bag.

Smaller than the Tabby 26, the Tabby 20 shoulder bag comes with many of the same features: It’s crafted from genuine leather with angular quilted stitching, and a silver-toned chain strap that can be worn as a crossbody or shoulder bag. It’s also available in splashy tints that you may not be able to take your eyes off, like the mood-lifting candied pink. And the smaller silhouette is perfect for going from day to night without added bulk.

More Standouts From The Latest Drop

Since this is a season proving that more is more (understated, who?), you might want to consider rounding out your aesthetic with a few more punched-up pieces from Coach’s latest drop. You’ll find modern must-haves from luxe leather slides to a ‘90s-inspired Jelly Tabby that looks entirely fresh.
