GARAGE Celebrates Its Brand Ambassadors With The Ultimate Retreat In NYC
A weekend for the new wave of It-girls.
For most, a trip to New York might mean a slice, a skyline selfie, and shopping in Soho. For the GARAGE Social Club, it meant styling workshops, morning pilates, and a camera confidence session led by real influencers.
Launched last August, the GSC turns standout GARAGE store associates into brand advocates who create content, style outfits, and help shape new collections. Out of nearly 500 members, only a fraction scored an invite to this retreat, making it feel more like an exclusive girls’ trip than a work event. GARAGE ambassadors are no strangers to the VIP treatment; monthly contests offer them the chance to score invites to exclusive events, music festivals, and brand trips.
At the event in Brooklyn, ambassadors wearing GARAGE Sleek Camis, UltraFleece, and low-rise denim were greeted by glam stations, racks of the latest collection waiting to be styled, and of course, loads of snacks to keep them fueled. Two influencers modeled new drops from two distinct assortments — Casual Street and Off-Duty — teaching the girls how to play with proportion (exposed legs call for an ankle sock, for example). It-girls were pinned to the moodboard, and GARAGE’s micro skort emerged as a favorite, styled with sneakers, cowboy boots, or a playful headband. When asked where you’d wear it, someone answered without skipping a beat: “Grabbing matcha!”
The workshop schedule was packed. Attendees learned how to style layered Sleek Camis, nail the fit on low-rise denim, and weighed in on future colorways (orange was a unanimous yes). On day two, the girls broke a sweat with a morning pilates class, where they unboxed GARAGE’s new SoftActive set in Sour Cherry. Between sessions, they sipped on gut-friendly sodas, caught up on their nights, and swapped posing tips while editing content.
For some, it was their first time in New York. For many, it was their first time meeting their community in person after months of biweekly video calls. They arrived in a huge hot pink-branded van, dove headfirst into the workshops, and left with more than fresh denim fits and camera tricks. This new wave of It-girls is ready to own the sales floor and the For You Page.
