Original Fall Style Is All About Breaking The Rules
Loose codes, not dress codes.
Prep has always been about structure — pressed, polished, buttoned-up — but this fall, Levi’s® is breaking all the rules. The new Loose Prep collection takes those same references and lets them breathe, trading rigidity for room to move. Blazers are slightly oversized, denim feels polished but perfectly lived-in, and classic knitwear silhouettes are reimagined in a bright, modern color palette.
At its core, this is a collection of strong foundational pieces that give you a base to build from creatively. Striped tees are designed to be mixed and matched, button-ups can be doubled-up, half-tucked, or worn as an open layer, and cardigans prove to be just as much of an accessory as they are a warm layer. Denim takes on a vintage feel with 90s-inspired silhouettes — a loose-fitting taper, mid-rise bootcut, and low straight-leg — all leveled-up with details like whiskering, fading, tears and subtle fraying. Traditional prep staples don’t feel as precious when the jean underneath is this relaxed.
Nothing is better than a piece of clothing that brings ease to a traditionally structured aesthetic, and that's the throughline here: nothing about this collection asks you to sit up straighter. It asks you to loosen your grip on the rules.
