Shop Out 3 Iconic Looks From Gwen Stefani, Karen O, & St. Vincent

PRIVATE ICON: Women Who Rock

Private Icon is a NYLON series that looks back at pop culture's most stylish figures, shops out items inspired by their aesthetic, and reimagines their wardrobes for today. In this edition, we're paying tribute to three of our favorite female rock icons: Gwen Stefani, Karen O, and St. Vincent — with a 2020 twist.

We only include products that have been independently selected by NYLON's editorial team. However, we may receive a portion of sales if you purchase a product through a link in this article.

The '90s: Gwen Stefani

As the frontwoman of No Doubt, Gwen Stefani came onto the mainstream music scene upon the release of the band's 1995 ska-punk album, Tragic Kingdom. "Just a Girl" and "Don't Speak" captured Stefani's laid-back California fashion sense — a mix of tomboy, skate-style outfits comprised of crop tops and low-slung pants.
