“Becoming a mother completely changed my perspective on beauty and self-care,” the model shares. “I’ve learned that taking care of myself isn’t a luxury; it’s something that helps me show up as the best version of myself.”

Ferrer was born and raised in Córdoba, which is the second-most populous city in Argentina. After being scouted for modeling in 2015, she would go on to grace the covers of renowned fashion magazines, where she would work with major designers and companies.

Despite the perceived glamour, the world of fashion is highly competitive. It not only requires one to first be noticed, but also entails strict physical discipline, as well as the capability to handle the frequent rejection that often comes in the field. “Confidence, for me, comes more from how I feel than what I’m wearing,” Ferrer shares. “Of course, I love fashion, but I feel most confident when I’m comfortable in my own skin and living in alignment with myself.”

Ferrer credits that mindset with helping her navigate the pressures of the fashion industry. Rather than measuring confidence by outward appearance, she finds it in staying grounded and true to herself. She explains, “The moments when I feel the most grounded, that's where the real confidence comes from for me.”

A Community That Inspires Confidence

While some might perceive Ferrer as someone who thrives in high-intensity situations — such as those that are demanded on fashion runways and shoots — the model states her strongest sense of self comes not from the runway, but from pursuing the work that resonates most deeply with her.

“I’ve always valued spaces where things feel real,” she shares, “[spaces] where you can show up as yourself, not just as a version of what people expect you to be.”

For Valentina, some of this involves the community she has created around her BFF Club, which was created to connect fans with exclusive experiences, beauty gatherings, and fashion events. Between work, travel, and motherhood, the model craved a sense of grounding and community that wasn’t tied to location or industry, but to people.

Ferrer describes BFF Club as “a place where connection isn’t transactional, and you can actually feel held by the community you’re part of,” and adds that “the most rewarding part has honestly been seeing how people show up for each other.”

Family As Her Foundation

Even with her role as a model and entrepreneur, Valentina Ferrer emphasizes that confidence can also come during quiet moments, such as when she is spending time with her family.

She highlights the beauty in being present. "My time is much more intentional now," Ferrer says. "Motherhood teaches you to prioritize what truly matters." No matter how busy life gets, she tells Nylon she tries to focus on what she has rather than what's next: "This mindset helps me stay balanced and enjoy the moment instead of constantly chasing the next thing."

While the model shares that she may not have hours to spend on elaborate routines anymore, she strives to appreciate the small moments in life, which include being present with her family.

“Becoming a mother has made me kinder to myself,” the model says. “I've learned to embrace every stage, every change, and to celebrate beauty in a much more authentic and personal way.”
