'Claws' Star Karrueche Tran Made This Early Aughts Hairstyle Cool Again

A deep dive into my Facebook photos circa 2008, and you'll find me rocking the chunky sideswept bang, duck-lipping with abandon and taking photos at a scarily vertical angle. And while I look cringe-y to my current, more fashionable self, somehow Karreuche Tran has managed to make this stye look cool and even chic.

The Claws actor stepped out last night at the Sextuplets premiere, rocking the bun-and-bang combo and a neutral matte makeup look that gives off big '90s energy. Everything but the front of Tran's hair is swept up into a tight chignon, giving the long, wavy side bang an opportunity to shine. To complete the look, Tran wore a long-sleeve leopard print top, high-waisted khaki pants, and pointy red heels that peeked out beneath her slacks.

The hair moment comes courtesy of hairstylist Yuichi Ishida, who often does Tran's hair (he was also responsible for that iconic low ponytail look), and was achieved using a combo of Oribe, R+Co, and IGK Hair.
