Laverne Cox Just Reinvented The Coiffed Updo

Last night at the final Orange is The New Black premiere, Laverne Cox proved that purple is her shade, high ponytails are her aesthetic, and that she is, without a doubt, the reigning queen of good red carpet photos.

The Emmy-nominated star stunned last night in a Christian Siriano dress that, while showstopping, paled in comparison to her perfectly coiffed updo. The look—an Ursula Stephen masterpiece—served major Beyoncé-on-the-cover-of-B'Dayvibes, and reinvented the messy high ponytail for the red carpet. Cox's signature blonde lengths were piled on top of her head to create a cascade of perfectly arranged waves and curls—a look we want to copy ASAP.

Cox topped off the look with a vibrant purple eye look, nude lip, and nude nails. And even though we're sad to see our Sophia go, this look definitely served as a proper goodbye.
