Maggie Rogers Is Apparently A Big Fan Of The 'Corpse Bride'

But if you don't have $680 to spend on it, here are some other alternatives

by Erika Harwood

Maggie Rogers was front row at the Miu Miu Fall 2020 runway show in Paris on Tuesday wearing Corpse Bride merch, part of Miu Miu's line of "Kisses" T-shirts, which dropped in February and is inspired by famous on-screen romances, including the coupled-up characters Victor Van Dort and Emily the Corpse Bride. The black cotton tee retails for $680, which seems like... a lot?

If you're in the market for a T-shirt that's going to set you back hundreds of dollars, first of all, congratulations on your wealth. Second of all, may I politely offer a few more affordable alternatives? For those unable to let go of their teenage obsession with the Corpse Bride, you are not alone. Edgy high schoolers all over the world are right there with you, and they're shopping at places like Hot Topic and Dolls Kill. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

To say that Hot Topic has a wide selection of Corpse Bride merchandise would be an offensive understatement to HT Intermediate Holdings Corporation. The parent company's mall store for scary teens offers dozens of T-shirts in honor of the 2005 film, all for under $30.

If none of those options do it for you, join me on a sojourn over to Dolls Kill, where you can cop a black tee with the movie's poster artwork on it for $30. You could buy 22.6 of those shirts for the price of one Miu Miu. Think of all the things you could do with 22.6 Corpse Bride T-shirts. Get one for your cat! Make a patchwork blanket! Make several patchwork blankets! The options are endless.

Or, if you really want to look like Maggie Rogers in Paris, as seen below, get the Miu Miu shirt. It's your money and I'm not here to tell you what to do with it.
