Tove Styrke Uses Her Music To Find Common Ground

We recently hung out with her at the Museum of Sex

by Bailey Calfee

We took Tove Styrke to the Museum of Sex for an impromptu concert session and she serenaded us from her seat on an inflatable boob (yes, you read that right). But what we really wanted to talk about was her new album, which she says is an honest reflection of herself.

"I put so much of myself into this album," she says of Sway. The music has pop influences, but the lyrics hold so much more than your average Top 40 hit. And that's because she wants people to find themselves in her music: "I write about things I experience, feelings I've had, and I put them out and try to find a common ground with people. I want to connect."

Listen to Styrke break down a couple songs from Sway above.
