Alexander Skarsgård and his abs are back, this time in moving picture form! A day after those smoldering pics of Skarsgård and Margot Robbie in The Legend of Tarzan steamed up the web, the movie's first trailer has arrived, and it promises all the action and CGI primates you'd expect from a summer blockbuster about a man who also goes by the nickname Lord of the Apes.
The David Yates-directed movie tells the story (or legend) of Tarzan in reverse. He's been living life as a British aristocrat with his wife Jane, when he's lured back to the jungle as a trade emissary to the British Parliament. What he doesn't know is that he's being used as a pawn in plot by Christoph Waltz's insidious Captain Leon Rom. Big mistake. As you'll see in the trailer above, when Tarzan gets angry, he's prone to go apeshit. The movie looks surprising in its beauty, and the supporting cast, which includes John Hurt and Samuel L. Jackson, looks stellar. Check it out in theaters a whole seven months from now, on July 1st.
