There's an unspoken rule amongst most music journalists—the word "ethereal" is strictly off limits. It's been used so many times that it's become cliché. But with "Shot Fox," Australian indie pop sextet Alpine have crafted an enticing and glowing, and yes, ethereal anti-love song that's propelled forward by marching-band snares. "
When you're gone, the world seems brighter," sings co-frontwoman Phoebe Baker (her partner is Lou James). It's off their sophomore album, Yuck, which judging by its title, carries a smiliar sentiment throughout. We're premiering the song's video hear, which is haunting and dreamlike, and well, um, er...ethereal. Check it out above.
