NYLON’s Axis Takeover: Spring 2016 Show Recap

we came, we saw, we conquered

by Jenna Igneri

On February 21 to 23, Axis, a contemporary fashion and lifestyle trade show, held its third edition at Pier 92 in New York City. The biannual event showcases a wide range of fashion-related companies—from clothing and apparel to textiles and bridal—as well as beauty and home sectors. The event is focused on authenticity and creativity, while catering to the female millennial. It’s the perfect setting for brands, retailers, and media to showcase their goods, and network with one another.

This year we, at the NYLONshop, had the opportunity to boast our awesome inventory, showcasing brands such as Missy Skins, Poppy Lissiman, YRU, Ban.do, and High Heels Suicide. We also met some of the coolest new brands, such as Jac Vanek, Dolores Haze, Bana Bongolan, Martina from Epitome ATL, and Emily Men.

With more than 200 collections in attendance, we certainly had a lot of work to do. Perusing the booths and finding the best new pieces to add to the shop's roster is a tough, but fun, job. As always, we had the best time while there.
