Watch The New Trailer For ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’

Spoiler Alert

Ben Affleck stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live Wednesday, to premiere the third trailer for next year's massive super hero saga Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. And while there's a lot to love here, director Zack Snyder has left little to the imagination. The movie's entire premise is based on the epic feud between Batman and Superman, and though the trailer delivers some explosive cape-on-cape violence, it also reveals the moment in which they stop pummeling each other and join forces with Wonder Woman to defeat a common enemy.

Which brings us to Doomsday.

There had been some speculation that the alien big bad might make an appearance in the film, but now we know for sure. It appears that Jesse Eisenberg's loony Lex Luthor uses some of General Zod's bodily fluids to create the monster, and it's up to one half of the Justice League to destroy him. And yes, we got all that from the trailer. Why Snyder decided to show his cards this early is a mystery, especially after JJ Abrams' expert Star Wars roll out proved that when it comes to building excitement, less is definitely more.

Hopefully Snyder still has some surprises up his sleeve when Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters on March 25, 2016.
