If you don’t know, now you know…

Somewhere between the advent of Twitter and Tumblr, we discovered artist/designer Justin "Huff Dust" Derosa and we've been following him ever since. The Long Island-born creative now resides in Brooklyn, and we recently met up with him to discuss his succession from his sketch work and graphic design into his own burgeoning T-shirt line. One of our favorite Huff Dust pieces is a collaboration between Derosa and artist Felipe "Tipi Thieves" Merida. The Biggie tee, a beautiful watercolor and ink transferred painting of Christopher "Biggie Smalls" Wallace, is nothing short of a museum quality piece of art. We're told Merida sells out of every painting in a single night. Looking at this piece, we can see why. It turns out he's got a new show opening August 24th at an undisclosed location (we'll let you know more as soon as we find out). The pair will also be at Artists and Fleas in Brooklyn August 10th for anyone who's local. For more on Tipi Thieves check out his website HERE and view the full Huff Dust line HERE.
