Kit Harrington + Dakota Fanning Go West In The ‘Brimstone’ Trailer

‘Game of Thrones’ meets ‘Westworld’

The new movie Brimstone might be the closest we ever get to a Game of Thrones/Westworld mash-up. The two worlds from HBO's flagship shows collide in the upcoming Western's first trailer, which features GoT cast mates Kit Harrington and Carice van Houten (aka Jon Snow and Melisandre, respectively) who are transplanted to America's great frontier. They're just one half of a strong ensemble that also includes Dakota Fanning as a mute woman who must clear her name after being falsely accused of a crime, and Guy Pearce as the twisted reverend who wants her caught.

Directed by Martin Koolhoven, Brimstone received mixed reviews after screenings in Venice and Toronto. While some critics praised it for "earning its feminist credentials by favoring the perspective of a woman," others found that its depiction of violence against women undermined its position as an "empowerment narrative."

One thing most critics agreed on was that Brimstone is often disturbing. So no matter how much you want to see Jon Snow as a gunslinger, make sure you approach this one with the utmost caution. Brimstone hits theaters and VOD on March 10th. Watch the trailer above.
