MILCK Is Writing Political Songs From Her Dreams

Let’s catch up

by Hayden Manders

"The stronger a song is, the more of a life it takes on its own," MILCK tells us. The singer-songwriter and poet is back with a newfound voice, one that's empowered and emboldened by her dreams.

"I can't keep quiet," she says, citing the drive that's been subconsciously fueling her creativity. Instead she's letting the quiet out with her new song (appropriately titled "Quiet"), which taps into what MILCK calls a gentle rage she feels when being oppressed. It's a song perfect for the Trump era because it is a rallying cry for harmony. And now, after the latest face palm of updates from this administration, more poignant than ever.

Check it out here after discovering its origin story in our catch-up video above. May MILCK inspire you to raise your voice.
