Watch Christina Aguilera Impersonate Britney Spears, Miley Cyrus, Cher, Sia & More

When it comes to comedy, there's a fine line between parody and maliciousness. This line, of course, becomes thinner with direct impersonations. Perhaps being in the spotlight for the majority of one's life brings with it a sense of invincibility, or a sense of something resembling (though not as harsh as) entitlement because in a recent The Voice promo, Christina Aguilera completely surpassed this boundary.

In the three-minute spot, Aguilera tries her hand at imitating Miley Cyrus, Sia, Shakira, Lady Gaga, Cher, and her once-rival Britney Spears. And while she succeeded in her musical impersonations of Cher, Shakira, and Britney Spears on The Tonight Show back in February, there is a clear difference between these two performances. Instead of highlighting her colleagues' vocal strengths and styles, this time she simply propogates each singer's most stereotypical (and sometimes controversial) visions. She places them back into the box once created by the media. It's not funny—just uncomfortable.
