Brooklyn might not be the wine Mecca of the world–we'd say Bordeaux takes the biscuit–but it’s certainly on our radar. Club W, the LA-based company that somehow managed to create a digital vineyard, tailored to your taste palate, have put it there. They recently teamed up with veteran winemaker Brian Smith (of the Brooklyn-based Wonderful Wine Co.) and launched a new line of select wines tailored to their customer base (i.e. anyone with taste buds). The line will feature six wines with names like MRLT (merlot–with no vowels, surprise, surprise), the Specialist (cabernet), Score (red blend) and, wait for it, #TBT (pinot noir). Don’t know about you, but we definitely weren't expecting hashtags on custom wine labels until 2020. These guys managed to create a tech-savvy burgeoning wine culture in Brooklyn and have included all the ripe of the ripest (pun intended) in the process. So this summer, go local.
