good listener

a special summer mix tape, curated by moby!

by ellen carpenter

For the long holiday weekend, we have a special edition of Good Listener courtesy of Moby! He made us a mix inspired by a particularly awesome summer memory. You can click the tracks for YouTube links, but we recommend you download the songs on iTunes and bring the mix to your Memorial Day BBQ.

Beers, burgers and Bee Gees? Now that's a holiday!

"When I was 11 years old, my mom and her boyfriend took me to my first baseball game. It was a Yankees game and it was the highlight of my summer, if not my entire year. We were living in Connecticut, so we took I-95 to the South Bronx, where Yankee Stadium was (and is). Here's a mixtape inspired by what we heard on the radio as we drove in and out of the Bronx in the mid '70s."
