Google Can Now Help You Choose A Halloween Costume

If being able to see the most popular costumes in your state wasn’t specific enough for you, Google’s got just the thing: Frightgeist. It’s an interactive map that lets you see the most popular costume in every city, simply by hovering over your mouse cursor over it. To create it, Google Trends pulled the top 500 costume-related searches from across the country and used the data to determine which costumes were trending locally and nationally.
So, what are the top five most-searched costume ideas for Halloween ‘15? Harley Quinn, Star Wars, superhero, pirate, and Batman. Don’t worry if you had planned on dressing up as any of these—we’ve got quite a few alternatives in mind.
